Mala Noche

I just got a chance to see Gus Van Sant's Mala Noche. Its an unrequited love story between the main character, a white shop owner, and a Mexican immigrant new in the U.S. after crossing the border. The cinematography is gritty and the overall tone as expected is sad. We all have wanted something we have so this film resonated with me. The film didnt make me want to jump for joy but its interesting to see the topic of love unrequited from a queer perspective.
