"queer media": entertainment/political digress?
queer eyes: is not the realm of digital media/ the institution of cinematic representation/acting/imagination/ illusionary material queer itself?
-negative/false- representations: campy...trans formative empowerment or self-defeating normalizations?
the devil's advocate bit: since this came up in class... how would all things queer (in the present state) have come to exist if it were not for all of the queer, or not so queer things before it... how the hell would one define queer if one didn't recognize what is "straight" and what is "gay"? ...here arises the concept of contested identities, in a back and forth riveting motion, where there is a constant -reinforcement of- and -affirmative critique and new stereotyping- of queer...
